Melo moves into 10th on NBA's all-time scoring list
Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony moved into sole possession of 10th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list during Monday's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks.
The future Hall of Famer leapfrogged Elvin Hayes with a pull-up triple early in the second quarter and finished Monday's game with 14 points in 22 minutes of action as Portland fell 123-114 to Atlanta.
Anthony is now less than 100 points away from passing Moses Malone for ninth place on the league's scoring leaderboard. The 10-time All-Star moved past Tim Duncan, Dominique Wilkins, Oscar Robertson, and Hakeem Olajuwon earlier this season.
