Matt Kenseth closed out the 2014 Nationwide Series season in style, winning Saturday night’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Kenseth led 52 of the 206 laps run, but it took two green-white-checkered attempts to finish the finale in Homestead. His teammate Kyle Busch finished second, only leading five laps in the process.
Brad Keselowski finished eighth and secured the owner’s championship for Team Penske and the No. 22 team.
Chase Elliott clinched the Nationwide Series championship last weekend in Phoenix, but can now be officially named the 2014 Nationwide Series champion.
