Report: Jake Paul to box ex-UFC champ Woodley in August

Jake Paul didn't wait long to find his next opponent.
The YouTube star-turned-fledgling boxer reached a deal with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for a boxing match, sources told Mike Coppinger of The Athletic.
The bout does not yet have a specific date, but it will take place sometime in August, Showtime representatives told boxing insider Dan Rafael. Though a venue for the fight has not been confirmed, the combatants will have a faceoff Friday in Miami, Coppinger reports.

Paul, 24, has won all three of his fights by knockout since embarking on his boxing career, although he's yet to face another professional boxer. Last month, he knocked out another former UFC fighter, Ben Askren, in the first round. His longest bout was against former NBA player Nate Robinson, who took Paul to a second round.
Woodley won the UFC's welterweight belt in 2016 and successfully defended it four times before losing it in 2019. The 39-year-old owns a 19-7-1 record in the Octagon, most recently losing in the first round to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 in March.
This will be Woodley's first-ever professional boxing match. He was a wrestler in both high school and the NCAA.
