Nate Diaz will return to action May 16 for a professional MMA fight against Mike Perry in Los Angeles.

The welterweight bout, which will be contested over five rounds, will feature on the undercard of Ronda Rousey's blockbuster main event against Gina Carano. The marquee event is being promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and marks the first MMA event to stream on Netflix.

Diaz, 40, last fought in MMA in 2022, when he submitted Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. He's since competed twice in boxing, losing to Paul and defeating Jorge Masvidal.

Meanwhile, Perry's last Octagon appearance dates back to 2021. He suffered a unanimous decision loss to Daniel Rodriguez in his final UFC fight. The 34-year-old has stayed busy in bare-knuckle fighting, posting a 6-0 record since his first BKFC bout in '22.

The fight between Diaz and Perry is part of a triple-headliner that also includes a bout between Francis Ngannou and Felipe Lins.
