Report: Woodley-Luque being finalized for UFC 260
A welterweight bout between former champion Tyron Woodley and Vicente Luque is in the works for UFC 260 on March 27, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Contracts reportedly haven't been signed yet.
Woodley has lost three straight fights, dropping matchups against current 170-pound champ Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, and Colby Covington. He hasn't been victorious since a submission win over Darren Till in September 2018 in what would be his final successful title defense. Woodley, 38, held the belt from July 2016 to March 2019.
Luque is a promising up-and-comer in the division. The 29-year-old is riding a two-fight winning streak, which includes finishes of Randy Brown and Niko Price, and he's 8-1 over his past nine bouts. His only defeats since 2015 have come against top contenders Stephen Thompson and Leon Edwards.
A heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou will headline UFC 260. The promotion hasn't announced a location for the event.
