Report: Yan-Sterling bantamweight title fight rebooked for March 6
The much-anticipated UFC bantamweight title fight between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling is back on.
The bout, which was initially scheduled to take place at UFC 256 in December, will now be held March 6, ESPN's Brett Okamoto reports.
Yan, the 135-pound champion, couldn't make the December date due to personal reasons.
The Russian fighter captured the belt with a TKO victory over Jose Aldo in July. Yan owns a 15-1 professional record and is riding a 10-fight winning streak.
Sterling has been on a tear of his own. He's put together a 19-3 record that includes wins in his last five fights. His most recent victory was an impressive submission of Cory Sandhagen in June.
The rescheduled fight joins a card that is set to also include a light heavyweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz and a women's featherweight title bout between Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson.
