McGregor, Edgar hint at December bout
Conor McGregor appears to have an opponent in mind for his return to the Octagon.
The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion replied to a tweet from the promotion Wednesday, wishing veteran Frankie Edgar a happy birthday and hinting at a December fight between the two.
Happy birthday Frankie, see you in December.

Edgar, a former UFC lightweight champion himself, responded to the message, claiming he's already agreed to battle McGregor.
Thanks pal, I said yes already it's on you and @danawhite to make it happen.

McGregor seemed open to the bout, encouraging UFC president Dana White to finalize it.
There you go White, make the bout. Give my purse to charity.

First responders.
One for All! @ProperWhiskey
McGregor, 31, hasn't fought since current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted him at UFC 229 in October 2018.
The Irishman has run into a number of legal issues since that bout and announced his retirement from MMA in March, though White viewed it as a ploy to secure an ownership stake in the UFC.
