USMNT beats Jamaica, will face Qatar in Gold Cup semis

The United States beat Jamaica 1-0 in 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals action Sunday.
Matthew Hoppe, 20, broke the stalemate with a header off a well-placed Cristian Roldan cross in the 83rd minute.

Keeper Matt Turner corralled all five shots on goal to earn the clean sheet.
The U.S. has now advanced to the semifinals in 15 of the 16 Gold Cup tournaments to date, the lone miss coming in 2000.
The Americans will take on 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
