Report: Dodgers plan to keep Teo after adding Tucker
The Los Angeles Dodgers don't intend to trade outfielder Teoscar Hernández despite agreeing to a four-year contract with Kyle Tucker, reports The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
Hernández, who has been mentioned in offseason trade rumors, will reportedly move to left field to accommodate Tucker in right.
The 33-year-old has emerged as a trade candidate following a down 2025 season in which he slashed .247/.284/.454 and posted his lowest OPS+ (103) across a full campaign.
Although Hernández still hit 25 homers and drove in 89 runs, he ranked in the third percentile in outs above average last season. He's accumulated minus-14 defensive runs saved as a left fielder throughout his career.
The veteran slugger is owed $41.8 million over the next two years ($16 million of which is deferred) and has contract options for 2028 and 2029.
