The Colorado Rockies agreed to a two-year, $12.8-million deal with veteran utility player Willi Castro, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.
Castro split the 2025 campaign between the Minnesota Twins and Chicago Cubs, slashing .226/.313/.366 with 31 extra-base hits and 10 steals while appearing at six different defensive positions. His arm strength ranked in the 86th percentile, according to Baseball Savant.
The 28-year-old Castro was an All-Star in 2024 when he put together his best campaign in the big leagues.
Colorado has also added outfielder Jake McCarthy and veteran starter Michael Lorenzen to the roster over the past week.
