Toronto Blue Jays star Bo Bichette isn't in the team's lineup for Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at second base, while catcher Alejandro Kirk moves into the cleanup spot.

Bichette made his first appearance of the postseason in Game 1 on Friday, starting at second base and hitting cleanup. He went 1-for-2 with a walk before Kiner-Falefa pinch ran for him in the sixth inning.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters that Bichette will be available off the bench in Game 2.

"He felt pretty good after (Game 1)," Schneider said. "Checking in with him today, he probably feels a little bit better than he expected."

Schneider added that Bichette could start Game 3 and play all nine innings.

Prior to Friday, Bichette hadn't played since suffering a knee sprain Sept. 6. It was the first time in his seven-year MLB career that he played a defensive position other than shortstop.

The 27-year-old hit .311/.357/.483 with 18 homers, 44 doubles, and 94 RBIs in 139 games during the regular season.

Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto is on the mound for the Dodgers in Game 2.
