World Series Game 2 bets: Can Gausman shut down Dodgers?
The Blue Jays demolished the Dodgers 11-4 in Game 1, and will attempt to take a 2-0 lead to Los Angeles with another victory Saturday night. Toronto will send its ace, Kevin Gausman, to the mound, while L.A. will respond with Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
We've got you covered with five bets for Game 2.

⚾️ Bet: 1st 5 innings total - Under 4.5 (-150)
Both Yamamoto and Gausman can shut down opposing lineups. I like their chances of keeping the bats quiet through the first five innings, allowing this game to be decided by each team's bullpen.
⚾️ Bet: Scoreless 1st inning - Yes (-130)
Perhaps attacking the top of the Dodgers' lineup will be a mistake, but neither team scored a run in the first inning of Game 1. I like both pitchers' chances of having quality starts, and getting out of the first inning without giving up a run goes a long way to pitching deep into the game.

⚾️ Bet: Over 16.5 outs recorded (-105)
Gausman has recorded 17 or more outs in three straight postseason starts and nine of his last 10 outings. Manager John Schneider does have a short leash, but he's been willing to let Gausman work deeper into games than other Blue Jays starters. The biggest arms in the Blue Jays' bullpen are well-rested, setting up for an ideal scenario where Gausman pitches six innings before turning it over to the high-leverage relievers.
⚾️ Bet: Over 1.5 total bases (+190)
Barger was the hero of Game 1, launching a pinch-hit grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to blow the game open. He recorded two hits in his two at-bats and will be in the lineup to face the right-handed Yamamoto. Expect his World Series heroics to continue with another solid night at the dish in Game 2.
⚾️ Bet: Under 5.5 strikeouts (+105)
The Blue Jays had the second-fewest strikeouts of any team in baseball this season, and have been putting the ball in play throughout the playoffs. They are averaging only 5.67 strikeouts per game in the postseason, including only four in Game 1. Yamamoto has a ton of swing-and-miss stuff, but the entire Blue Jays lineup is a tough out.
