Roberts: Kershaw won't be on Dodgers' wild-card roster
Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw won't be on the team's roster for the opening round of the playoffs, manager Dave Roberts announced Sunday, according to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.
Kershaw will be available if the Dodgers advance past the wild-card series, Roberts added. Los Angeles is set to host either the New York Mets or Cincinnati Reds in the opening round.
Kershaw is scheduled to make his last start of the regular season against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday at 3:10 p.m. ET. Roberts said it'll be a normal start.
The 37-year-old future Hall of Famer made his last home start against the San Francisco Giants on Sept. 19. He struck out Rafael Devers in the fifth inning before walking off the mound to a roaring ovation.

Kershaw is set to retire following the 2025 campaign after an illustrious career that included three NL Cy Young Awards, five ERA titles, a Triple Crown, an MVP award, and 11 All-Star appearances.
