Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo agreed to a four-year extension that also includes a club option, the team announced Tuesday.

The extension is worth $45 million, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan. It begins in 2026 and buys out up to three years of free agency for Perdomo.

Perdomo will receive a $5-million signing bonus. The club option is for the 2030 season and valued at $15 million with a $3-million buyout, Passan adds.

Perdomo slashed .273/.344/.374 with 21 doubles, 37 RBIs, and nine steals in 98 games last season and accrued 10 defensive runs saved in 849 1/3 innings at shortstop as the double-play partner of Ketel Marte.

The 25-year-old Perdomo was an All-Star in 2023 when he posted career highs in hits, runs scored, home runs, RBIs, doubles, and steals.

Arizona has been busy this winter, signing ace Corbin Burnes, trading for first baseman Josh Naylor, re-signing Randal Grichuk, and shoring up the bullpen with the addition of Kendall Graveman.
