Major League Baseball announced Monday that players will once again wear their primary home and road uniforms at the All-Star Game starting next season, according to Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com.

Players wore their regular uniforms from 1930s through 2019 for the Midsummer Classic before All-Star jerseys were used over the last four seasons starting in 2021.

Home Run Derby participants will use their primary home uniforms, too.

MLB is also making changes to the home and road uniforms of all 30 teams after criticism about the material and lettering of the Nike Vapor Premier jersey design that was introduced for the 2024 season.

The league said the changes, which will include pant customization, increasing the size of the lettering, and going back to the materials used in the past, will be fully completed by the start of the 2026 campaign.
