Real Madrid agreed to sign 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig on Sunday in a transfer worth over €100 million, reports transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
Diomande will reportedly sign a contract with Real Madrid through 2031.
Los Blancos previously had a €90-million bid, plus a potential €10 million in add-ons, rejected by Leipzig earlier this week, according to Romano. Paris Saint-Germain were believed to be Real Madrid's fiercest competition for Diomande's signature, but they reportedly withdrew their interest in the youngster once Leipzig accepted Madrid's offer.
In 33 Bundesliga matches, the Ivorian international netted 12 goals for Leipzig, finishing one back of Christoph Baumgartner for the most on the squad. Diomande also added nine assists throughout the season, helping the German side finish third behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund and qualify for the 2026-27 Champions League group stage.
Once finalized, the move will return Diomande to the Bernabeu, where he made his first-team debut with then-La Liga outfit Leganes during the 2024-25 campaign. The teenage talent was brought on in the 86th minute of a 3-2 loss in Madrid that day, but he remained in Leganes' first team for the remainder of the campaign.
Diomande was also named to Cote d'Ivoire's squad for the 2026 World Cup. He started all four matches for his nation in the tournament, recording an assist in his team's 2-0 group-stage win over Curacao before Norway eliminated it in the round of 32.
