Arsenal could be ready to cut ties with former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners are willing to consider offers to buy the out-of-favor striker when the winter signing period opens next month, according to James Olley of ESPN.

News of Arsenal's willingness to part with Aubameyang comes just over a week after the Gabon international was stripped of the captaincy due to multiple disciplinary breaches.

He's since been unavailable for selection for Arsenal's last two matches.

Although sources told Olley the Premier League side's relationship with Aubameyang can still be repaired, Arsenal are reportedly ready to discover if any of Europe's top clubs are interested in the 32-year-old.

Barcelona were believed to be interested in Aubameyang before he signed a lucrative long-term contract in September 2020. Now it appears his £250,000-a-week salary could force cash-strapped Barca out of the running.

Juventus are a possible destination, as Olley reports the Bianconeri could be intrigued by a deal to sign Aubameyang on loan if they can reach an agreement over his salary. Inter Milan and AC Milan could also be in the mix.

Aubameyang has 92 goals in 163 appearances since joining Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
