Juventus confirmed Saturday that Paulo Dybala has tested positive for COVID-19, making the Argentine the third player from the Italian club to contract the disease the new coronavirus causes.

The 26-year-old is asymptomatic. He's been in voluntary home isolation since March 11, according to a club statement. In a message on Twitter, Dybala said he and his girlfriend, Oriana Sabatini, are in "perfect conditions" despite both receiving a positive diagnosis.

Teammates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi have also contracted the virus.

The number of confirmed cases in Italy rose to 53,578 on Saturday, with the death toll hitting 4,825 as the country continues to battle the contagion.

All sporting events throughout the nation have been suspended until April 3, with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) targeting May 2 as a tentative date for Serie A matches to return.
