Ronaldo reaches another milestone with 700th career goal
The milestones just keep coming for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal's talisman scored the 700th goal - for club and country - of his record-laden career on Monday, slamming home a penalty during a Euro 2020 qualifier against Ukraine.

Ronaldo is just the sixth player to accomplish the feat, joining an exclusive list of football icons that features Pele, Gerd Muller, Ferenc Puskas, Romario, and Josef Bican.
Monday's tally, which came in a 2-1 defeat, also saw the Juventus star inch closer to Iranian great Ali Daei's record of 109 international goals. The 34-year-old Portuguese legend has now found the net 95 times for his country.
Team | Goals | Matches Played |
---|---|---|
Sporting CP | 5 | 31 |
Manchester United | 118 | 292 |
Real Madrid | 450 | 438 |
Juventus | 32 | 51 |
Portugal | 95 | 162 |
Lionel Messi, meanwhile, should soon join Ronaldo in breathing rarified air, as the Argentine sits on 672 career goals.
