Canada's Grondin wins silver in men's snowboard cross
Canada claimed another silver medal Thursday at the Milan Cortina Games as Eliot Grondin finished second in men's snowboard cross.
Grondin finished three-hundredths of a second behind Austrian racer Alessandro Haemmerle, who defended his gold medal from the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

It was a photo finish between the duo four years ago as well, with Haemmerle besting Grondin by 0.02 seconds in Beijing.
Austrian Jakob Dusek beat out France's Aidan Chollet for bronze.
The event marked Grondin's third Olympic medal, as he also captured a bronze in the mixed team snowboard cross event during the 2022 Games.
Canada now sits at six medals in the 2026 Olympics, with three silvers and a trio of bronzes. The country is still seeking its first gold.
