Rahm pulls out of TGL after initial commitment
Despite being listed among the initial 24 PGA TOUR players set to participate in the TGL's inaugural season, Jon Rahm is bowing out.
I am sad to confirm that I will not be participating in the first TGL season. While I still think it’s a great opportunity, right now it would require a level of commitment that I can’t offer. Best of luck to everyone envolved and may the best team win!

"We will miss him during the inaugural TGL season," a league spokesperson told the Sports Business Journal. "We understand that players have to balance a lot of different facets of their professional and personal lives and respect Jon's choice and wish him well."
The TGL says it will add a replacement player "soon."
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy helped develop the tech-infused golf league and both are set to partake. It begins in January and all matches will take place at the 1,600-seat SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Rahm, the World No. 3, is from Spain but resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The 28-year-old has 20 professional victories in his career, including two major championships - the 2021 U.S. Open and the 2023 Masters.
