The field

Scheffler and Jon Rahm highlight a field that's filled with some of the top TOUR stars. Woods, who hasn't played on TOUR since the Open Championship in July, withdrew from the tournament Monday with plantar fasciitis. Sepp Straka is in as his replacement.

Three of the year's major winners are in the field with Thomas (PGA Championship) and Matt Fitzpatrick (U.S. Open) joining Scheffler (Masters). Defending champion Hovland is also set to tee it up at Albany Golf Club this week.

Seven of the 20 players are making their Hero debut: Shane Lowry, Corey Conners, Cameron Young, Sungjae Im, Max Homa, Straka, and Tom Kim.
