Report: NHL discussing suspending goalies for leaving crease to fight
There have been two full-blown brawls during this NHL season; one in the preseason between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres, and the other on the weekend featuring the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.
While fans at the time may have enjoyed watching a line brawl unfold in front of their eyes, the NHL didn't think so highly of it. Gary Lawless reports the NHL will discuss a similar suspension to leaving the bench to engage in a fight for goaltenders.
League sources tell me #NHL will discuss 10-game suspension for goalies leaving their zone to fight much like player leaving bench rule #bn

The 10-game suspension would keep the goaltenders from involving themselves in unwanted fights and deter their involvement.
