The Winnipeg Jets extended their franchise-record winning streak to 10 games in dramatic fashion Monday night.

Mark Scheifele scored the OT winner to sink the San Jose Sharks. It was his 329th goal in a Winnipeg uniform, surpassing the Jets/Thrashers franchise record previously held by Ilya Kovalchuk.

The Jets trailed 1-0 for the majority of the game until Josh Morrissey tied it up with 26 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Sharks goalie Vitek Vanecek nearly stole the game for San Jose, making 33 saves in the loss.

The OT winner was the 782nd point of Scheifele's 14-year career - all of which has been spent in Winnipeg. He's now 30 points back of Blake Wheeler's franchise record of 812.

"It means a lot," Scheifele said postgame when asked about accomplishing the feat on home ice. "These fans are amazing each and every night. It was definitely nice to get that one in front of a raucous crowd tonight."

The victory moved the Jets back into first place in the NHL, a point ahead of the Washington Capitals.

"It's a fantastic place here, and I'm honored to be a Winnipeg Jet," he said, per Prime Video Canada.

Scheifele signed a seven-year, $59.5-million extension in 2023.
