The Miami Dolphins and veteran pass-rusher Bradley Chubb are parting ways, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Chubb carried a cap hit of $31.2 million for 2026, which meant his release was inevitable, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Releasing him will incur a $23.8-million dead-cap hit but will save the team $7.3 million, per Over the Cap.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Chubb had 8.5 sacks last season. He missed the entire 2024 season after tearing his ACL in Week 17 of the 2023 campaign. He put up 11 sacks in 2023.
Chubb started his career with the Denver Broncos after being drafted fifth overall in 2018. He recorded 12 sacks during his rookie season, which still stands as his career high. He also made the Pro Bowl in 2020 and 2022.
