The Atlanta Falcons are kicking off their search for a new head coach.

Atlanta - which fired Raheem Morris on Sunday - asked to interview Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The Falcons are also expected to speak with Kevin Stefanski, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The two-time Coach of the Year was fired by the Cleveland Browns on Monday, becoming one of the top names available.

Kubiak, 38, is also a hot candidate this cycle after coordinating the New Orleans Saints' offense in 2024 and the Seahawks' offensive unit in '25. Seattle just advanced to the playoffs as the NFC's No. 1 seed, which gives the team a first-round bye and allows Kubiak to take part in potential job interviews.

The Seahawks showed major offensive improvements after hiring Kubiak and teaming him up with quarterback Sam Darnold. Seattle ranked third in points scored and eighth in yards in 2025.

Weaver spent the last two seasons with the Dolphins. Miami is coming off a down year defensively but boasted a top-10 defense in 2024 under his watch.

The Falcons' next head coach will inherit a talented team that has a major question mark at quarterback as Michael Penix Jr. recovers from a torn ACL and Kirk Cousins' future with the team remains uncertain.
