Chiefs sending Moore to 49ers
The Kansas City Chiefs traded wide receiver Skyy Moore to the San Francisco 49ers, the teams announced Thursday.
The Chiefs are sending Moore and a 2027 seventh-round pick to San Francisco for a 2027 sixth-round selection.
The 49ers have been desperate for help in their wide receiver room due to injuries to key pieces such as Brandon Aiyuk and a recent three-game suspension for Demarcus Robinson.
Moore had fallen down the pecking order of a deep Chiefs' receiving depth chart. Hollywood Brown, Xavier Worthy, and Rashee Rice headline the receiving corps while JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jalen Royals, and Nikko Remigio are also part of the group.
Moore has struggled to live up to his billing since the Chiefs drafted him in the second round of the 2022 draft. The 24-year-old has yet to record more than 250 receiving yards in any of his three seasons. He also finished with zero catches on three targets in 2024.
