Cowboys ink Ferguson to 4-year, $52M extension

The Dallas Cowboys agreed to terms with tight end Jake Ferguson on a four-year, $52-million contract extension, the team announced Sunday.

Ferguson's new deal includes $30 million guaranteed and a signing bonus worth $12 million.

The Wisconsin product enjoyed a breakout season in 2023 when he tallied 71 catches, 761 yards and five touchdowns to earn a Pro Bowl nod. He followed that up with 59 receptions last season for 494 yards in 14 games.

Ferguson battled through a knee injury throughout the campaign and also missed two games due to a concussion.

"That's the game of football, not everything is going to go perfect," Ferguson said in June, per NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "Personally, I'm putting that in the past and I know now what I have to work on.

Ferguson's contract is resolved while the Cowboys remain in negotiations with star pass-rusher Micah Parsons.

He is set to feature in the passing game as a consistent target for quarterback Dak Prescott, joining receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens as top options for the talented passer.
