Report: Stefon Diggs visiting Patriots
Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs is visiting the New England Patriots, a source told The Athletic's Chad Graff.
The two sides have reportedly yet to agree on a contract.
It's Diggs' first free-agent visit after he sustained a torn ACL in October.
Diggs played eight games during his first season with the Houston Texans in 2024, catching 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns before sustaining a major knee injury. Houston acquired him as part of an offseason trade with the Buffalo Bills.
Diggs played in the AFC East for four seasons with the Bills, earning four Pro Bowl nods and leading the NFL in receiving in 2020. The six-time 1,000-yard wideout previously spent his first five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, where he worked with Todd Downing, now the Patriots' wide receivers coach
New England has been desperately looking to improve its group of receivers, which is currently headlined by Kendrick Bourne, DeMario Douglas, and Kayshon Boutte. Mike Vrabel's outfit also signed former Bills wideout Mack Hollins and tried to land Chris Godwin before he re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Diggs is one of many veteran wideouts still available this offseason, along with Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen, and Tyler Lockett.
