Report: Ravens, OC Monken finalizing contract extension
The Baltimore Ravens and offensive coordinator Todd Monken are completing a contract extension, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Monken spoke with the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Chicago Bears during this year's head-coaching cycle. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh hired Monken in 2023 after he spent the previous three years as Georgia's offensive coordinator.
The 58-year-old helped Baltimore boast one of the best offenses in the league in 2024, finishing first in yards per game and third in points scored. Since Monken took over the offense, Baltimore ranks second in EPA/play and success rate, according to Ben Baldwin's database.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson won his second MVP trophy under Monken last season and is a finalist this year. Jackson threw for 41 touchdowns to just four interceptions this season while racking up 5,087 total yards. He also led the league in passer rating (119.6) and quarterback rating (77.3).
Baltimore won the AFC North this campaign with a 12-5 record but lost to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.
