Texans' Collins cleared for return on MNF vs. Cowboys
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins will make his return Monday against the Dallas Cowboys.
He wasn't listed on the team's final injury report.
Collins expressed confidence Friday that he'd return to the lineup following a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury.
"I feel like myself. I feel like that was the main part," Collins said, according to The Associated Press.
He added: "You don’t want to miss no games, but that's part of it. But it's a long season, it's a marathon, and you want to take care of your body. But missing time hurts. You want to be out there with your brothers, making plays."
The star wideout was a full participant in the Texans' Friday and Saturday practice sessions after being activated from injured reserve last week. He was ruled inactive for last week's loss against the Detroit Lions.
The Michigan product led the NFL with 567 receiving yards before being injured against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 6.
Collins' return should provide a huge boost to a Texans offense that lost Stefon Diggs for the season with a torn ACL. Houston will also be without defensive end Will Anderson for a second straight game due to an ankle injury.
