Saints' Olave to miss game vs. Falcons due to concussion
The New Orleans Saints announced they ruled out Chris Olave for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons after the wide receiver sustained a second concussion in less than a month last weekend.
Interim head coach Darren Rizzi said placing Olave on injured reserve is "on the table," according to NewOrleans.Football's Mike Triplett.
The 24-year-old Olave was scheduled to see specialists this week to go over his concussion history. The third-year wideout was carted off the field after taking a big hit from Carolina Panthers defensive back Xavier Woods in the Saints' Week 9 loss. He also sustained a concussion Oct. 13 in a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Olave leads the Saints with 400 receiving yards on 32 receptions with one touchdown through eight games.
New Orleans will also be without receiver Cedrick Wilson on Sunday, as he's dealing with a shoulder issue.
The Saints (2-7) will attempt to end a seven-game skid against the Falcons (6-3) this week.
