Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell is believed to have sustained a broken thumb during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

O'Connell exited the matchup in the first quarter. He'll reportedly be evaluated Monday to determine the extent of his injury.

O'Connell suffered the injury while attempting a pass and was replaced by Gardner Minshew. Las Vegas hasn't officially ruled O'Connell out for the remainder of the matchup, and he was seen on the sideline with his right thumb heavily taped, notes Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.

O'Connell began the season as Las Vegas' QB2 behind Minshew but was named the starter for the remainder of the campaign in Week 6. The 26-year-old made 11 appearances (10 starts) as a fourth-round rookie in 2023.

In five starts in 2024, Minshew completed 70.7% of his passes with four touchdowns against five interceptions.

The Raiders entered Week 7 with a 2-4 record.
