The Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New Orleans Saints are among the teams that contacted the New York Jets about wide receiver Mike Williams, sources told The Athletic's Dianna Russini.

The Jets have reportedly made Williams available for trade after acquiring Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this week.

Rookie Ladd McConkey leads the Chargers' receivers with 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 19 receptions. Quentin Johnston, the team's first-round selection last year, is the only other wide receiver who's scored this season for L.A. The TCU product has 14 receptions, 164 yards, and three scores.

The Steelers have been linked to multiple receivers over the last several months, including Adams and the San Francisco 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk. George Pickens has established himself as the team's top receiving option, posting 363 yards on 26 receptions. Calvin Austin is the only other wideout on Pittsburgh's roster to total at least 100 receiving yards this season.

New Orleans could be without big-play threat Rashid Shaheed for several weeks after the speedster sustained a knee injury that requires surgery. Chris Olave also has a concussion that's keeping him out of Thursday night's matchup against the Denver Broncos. However, the Saints could benefit from adding a bigger receiver even when Shaheed and Olave return.

Williams' contract with the Jets shouldn't prevent him from being dealt, as he's owed only $832,000 for the rest of the season, per ESPN's Rich Cimini. New York inked the Clemson product to a one-year, $10-million deal in the offseason but reportedly paid most of his compensation upfront.

The 30-year-old spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Chargers after being drafted seventh overall in 2017. Williams caught 309 passes for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns in 88 career games with Los Angeles.
