1. Detroit Lions (11-1)

The tandem of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs has become nearly impossible for defenses to slow down. Injuries to the front seven are concerning, but Detroit continues to be a juggernaut.

The Bills' wagons are circling. Over the past two games, Buffalo has slayed both of last season's Super Bowl finalists, winning both contests by more than one score.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (10-2)

Saquon Barkley has tallied 508 rushing yards and five total touchdowns in his past three outings of what's been an MVP-worthy campaign. The Eagles' defense turned in another stellar performance against the Ravens as they gain momentum down the stretch.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (11-1)

The Chiefs just keep finding ways to escape the jaws of defeat. Is it sustainable? It doesn't seem to matter to Patrick Mahomes and Co right now.
5. Green Bay Packers (9-3)

Josh Jacobs is the ideal complement for Jordan Love and the Packers' offense. Meanwhile, after racking up five sacks against the Dolphins, Green Bay's defense will attempt to replicate that performance in a pivotal divisional matchup against the Lions this week.
6. Minnesota Vikings (10-2)

The Vikings have been living on the edge, extending their winning streak to five games with an overtime victory over the Bears and a come-from-behind win over the Cardinals. Aaron Jones' fumbles are concerning as Minnesota jockeys for playoff position.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3)

Russell Wilson is cooking a five-course meal. The Steelers quarterback is now 5-1 as a starter and coming off a 414-yard, three-touchdown game.
8. Baltimore Ravens (8-5)

How much longer are the Ravens going to let former Pro Bowl kicker Justin Tucker cost them games? Tucker had his time as the league's top kicker, but those days are long gone.
9. Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)

All eyes will be on the Chargers this Sunday night as they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Chiefs. Their top-ranked defense in points allowed could cause trouble for Mahomes and Andy Reid.
10. Seattle Seahawks (7-5)

It hasn't been pretty, but the Seahawks have been getting the results they need. Sitting atop the NFC West, Seattle has fully adopted Mike Macdonald's identity as a defense-driven team.
11. Denver Broncos (8-5)

The Broncos' defense produced a bend-don't-break performance, tallying two pick-6s to hold off the Browns in an entertaining prime-time contest Monday. The intensity will turn up after the bye week with matchups against the Chargers and Chiefs left on the schedule.
12. Washington Commanders (8-5)

The Commanders were able to get back on track against the Titans last week to halt a three-game skid. Leaning on a rushing attack that's averaging 156.9 yards per contest after their bye week should help Jayden Daniels avoid hitting the rookie wall.
13. Houston Texans (8-5)

Even after a win Sunday, the Texans have still lost three of their last five and just don't look right. If they want to make noise in the postseason, they'll need to find their mojo in December.
14. Los Angeles Rams (6-6)

The Rams are getting healthy just in time to make a run at the NFC West division title. Matthew Stafford could be poised for another postseason pursuit with the combination of a young defense and productive ground game.
15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6)

Tampa Bay staged a late rally against the Panthers to avoid losing its fifth contest over a six-game span. Bucky Irving improves with each carry, as his 5.5 yards per attempt has been a boon to the Bucs' passing game.
16. Arizona Cardinals (6-6)

Finding a winning formula on the road will be paramount down the stretch for the Cardinals, who blew a double-digit lead in Minnesota last week. Fortunately, this week's crucial NFC West clash against the Seahawks will take place at home.

Miami saw its three-game winning streak snapped by the Packers last Thursday. The Dolphins still have a pulse, but they have little to no margin for error.
18. Indianapolis Colts (6-7)

The Colts are 2-1 since Anthony Richardson took back the reins under center. The second-year quarterback sealed a come-from-behind win over the Patriots last Sunday with a touchdown and two-point convert in the closing seconds.
19. Atlanta Falcons (6-6)

The Falcons remain steadfast in their support of Kirk Cousins, who has thrown no touchdowns and six interceptions during the team's three-game skid. Will a return to Minnesota be enough motivation for the beleaguered QB to get back on track?
20. Cincinnati Bengals (4-8)

Joe Burrow completed over 70% of his passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns against the Steelers. The Bengals still lost after surrendering 44 points. Story of their season.
21. San Francisco 49ers (5-7)

Injury woes continue to plague the 49ers as Christian McCaffrey is once again set to miss an extended period. Momentum is trending against the franchise despite it being just 2.5 games out of the NFC's final playoff spot.

The Cowboys continue to fight in a season where uncertainty looms over Mike McCarthy's future. Cooper Rush has played within the offense since taking over for Dak Prescott, throwing just one interception in his last five games.

An epic blunder in front of a national audience resulted in the dismissal of Matt Eberflus. Interim head coach Thomas Brown will attempt to get the same results from the entire roster as he did with Caleb Williams over the past two weeks.
24. Carolina Panthers (3-9)

Bryce Young is making tremendous strides after being benched earlier in the season. The game appears to have slowed down for the 2023 No. 1 pick as the Panthers continue to be more competitive despite consecutive three-point losses.

Taysom Hill's season-ending knee injury is another tough blow for a Saints offense that remains without Chris Olave. Darren Rizzi continues to rise to the challenge of motivating his club amid mounting setbacks.
26. Cleveland Browns (3-9)

Jerry Jeudy delivered a career performance against his former club but came up just short of exacting his revenge. Cleveland received the full spectrum of the Jameis Winston experience after he threw for 497 yards and four touchdowns but also gifted the Broncos two pick-6s.

The Patriots lost one at the wire to the Colts. But, at least they're fighting and not rolling over. The same can't be said for some of the teams below them.

The Jets are now 1-8 since starting 2-1. It seems like everyone involved in this disaster are counting down the days until the season ends.
29. Las Vegas Raiders (2-10)

Poor clock management and botched snap aside, the two-win Raiders had the one-loss Chiefs on the ropes. The result was a spectacular failure but, hey, Las Vegas deserves some credit for hanging in tough.
30. Tennessee Titans (3-9)

The Titans got a glimpse of what a good team led by an exciting, young quarterback looks like when they took on the Commanders. The 42-19 defeat also showed them how far they have to go to get there.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10)

Trevor Lawrence was taken out by a dirty hit from Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair. Lawrence, who was returning from a shoulder injury, should find it in his best interest to get healthy and not risk more harm in a lost season.

Quarterback play for the Giants remains poor despite Daniel Jones' departure. Losing Dexter Lawrence for the rest of the year only compounds a disastrous campaign.
