Quarterback Josh Allen is excited about what rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman can bring to the Buffalo Bills' offense.

"He's got a different skill set than maybe what I'm used to," Allen told Adam Schein on "Mad Dog Sports Radio" on Thursday. "I don't know if I've had the type of skill set that he brings to the table as an option before; his ability to go jump and catch back-shoulder balls, be strong at the point of the catch."

Allen added: "He's gonna be an exciting player for us, and he's going to help us win football games."

Buffalo selected the Florida State product 33rd overall in this year's draft. With the club moving on from Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs, Coleman is expected to play a significant role in the Bills' offense right out of the gate.

Coleman's versatility allows him to line up all across the offense. The 21-year-old played 119 of his 379 snaps in 2023 from the slot, per PFF. Coleman hauled in 50 receptions on 87 targets for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns last year for the Seminoles.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound receiver can also overpower defenders, recording 10 contested catches and dropping only two passes last season.

Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Mack Hollins, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling help fill out the Bills' depth chart at wideout.

"It's not going to be perfect right away," Allen said. "We're going to have bumps and bruises, but we're gonna keep working. He loves football, which makes me love him even more."

Buffalo kicks off its season on Sept. 8 against the Arizona Cardinals.
