Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is making progress in his return from a serious knee injury that ended his 2023 campaign early, but he's not at the finish line yet.

Browns general manager Andrew Berry said Monday that Chubb has "a little way to go" in his rehab, according to ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi.

Chubb, who suffered the season-ending injury in Week 2, first had surgery to repair a torn MCL and meniscus in September before going under the knife again for a procedure on his ACL in November.

The running back was placed on the PUP list to open training camp.

"We're really happy to see where he is as we enter camp, and we look forward to him to continue to improve the health of the knee," Berry added.

The Browns said they expected Chubb to return "at some point in the 2024 season" last September.
