Aaron Donald walked away from football in March after 10 seasons in the NFL, but one of his former Los Angeles Rams teammates is hoping to coax him back to the field.

During an appearance on "Up & Adams" on Monday, Rams running back Kyren Williams made a pitch to Donald suggesting he come out of retirement for a potential playoff run this season.

"I'm hoping he's enjoying retirement," Williams said. "And AD, if you see this, when we in the second round of the playoffs, dawg, come on. ... Open arms. We gonna bring him back."

Donald, who helped lead the Rams to a Super Bowl championship in the 2021 season, attributed his decision to retire to being "burnt out" and no longer having a passion to play football.

"I'm satisfied with what I was able to do in 10 years, and I think it's time for me, at 32 years old, to retire from football and jump into the next step of my career in my life," the former defensive lineman said in March.

The Rams officially placed Donald on the reserve/retired list Friday.
