The Seattle Seahawks and Pro Bowl safety Julian Love have agreed on a three-year extension worth up to $36 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Love - who joined Seattle on a two-year deal in 2023 - had one year left on his original contract with an $8-million cap hit for 2024.

The 26-year-old's first campaign with the Seahawks was a success, as he earned the first Pro Bowl selection of his career. Love recorded 123 tackles while setting career highs with 10 pass breakups, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 17 games. He allowed an 82.2 passer rating in 69 targets while in coverage.

Love played his first four NFL seasons for the New York Giants, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2019.

A key defensive starter for Seattle last season, Love projects to be a main contributor to the team's promising secondary under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald in 2024.
