Report: Cade expected to return vs. Bucks after 11-game absence
Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham is expected to return Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks after missing the last 11 games with a collapsed left lung, sources told ESPN's Vincent Goodwill.
Cunningham last appeared March 17 versus the Washington Wizards. He played just five minutes and was promptly ruled out for the remainder of the game due to back spasms.
Detroit diagnosed Cunningham with a collapsed lung two days later and provided a minimum two-week recovery timeline.
The Pistons went 8-3 during his absence and clinched the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed for the first time since 2007.
The 24-year-old earned his second straight All-Star nod in February. He's averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals this season.
Detroit is scoring 8.9 more points per 100 possessions with Cunningham on the floor.
Cunningham is ineligible for individual awards, such as MVP and All-NBA honors, as he'll fall short of the 65-game threshold.
