The Texas Rangers have claimed right-handed reliever Nick Goody on release waivers from the Cleveland Indians, the team announced Tuesday.
Goody, 28, has five days to accept or reject his assignment to the team. In the event he rejects, Goody will become a free agent.
In 40 2/3 innings with the Indians last year, Goody authored a 3.54 ERA and 4.62 FIP, making 39 appearances out of the bullpen.
