Moore returning to Oregon for 2026
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore won't declare for the 2026 NFL Draft and will remain with the Ducks next season.
"Of course, I'll be coming back to Oregon for one more year," Moore announced Wednesday on SportsCenter.
He added that he's returning to the Ducks because he's motivated to compete for a national championship.
Moore was considered one of the top quarterback prospects and a potential top-five pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
Moore elevated his profile as a redshirt sophomore in 2025 by amassing 3,721 yards of total offense, 32 total touchdowns, and a 71% completion rate. He led Oregon to the College Football Playoff semifinal, where the Ducks lost 56-22 in the Peach Bowl to Indiana.
The 6-foot-3, 206-pound quarterback has made 20 starts in his collegiate career. Moore made an impact as a true freshman for UCLA under head coach Chip Kelly in 2023, then transferred to Oregon the following year. He served as Dillon Gabriel's backup in 2024 before becoming a full-time starter this past season.
Moore's return ensures the Ducks keep one of their key players. However, Oregon will need to replace other major contributors, with tight end Kenyon Sadiq and safety Dillon Thieneman among the notable starters who have declared for the draft.
The Ducks will have one of the most talented QB depth charts next season. Former Nebraska standout Dylan Raiola joined Oregon via the transfer portal earlier in January and is expected to serve as Moore's backup.
