LSU signs top recruit Lamar Brown following delay
Five-star defensive lineman Lamar Brown signed with LSU on Friday, officially ending his recruitment.
Brown is widely regarded as the No. 1 overall recruit for 2026, earning top rankings from multiple outlets, including the ESPN 300.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive tackle delayed his signing after LSU hired Lane Kiffin as its new head coach, opting to wait and evaluate Kiffin's choices for his staff before officially committing to the Tigers.

Brown and LSU progressed toward his signing following discussions over the past 48 hours, sources told ESPN's Eli Lederman.
Less than a week after leaving Ole Miss following six seasons, Kiffin managed to hold onto the biggest piece of the Tigers' recruiting class.
Brown is the program's first No. 1 overall recruit since running back Leonard Fournette in 2014.
