Steve Sarkisian's agency refuted a report from The Athletic's Dianna Russini that the Texas head coach informed NFL decision-makers he'd be interested in multiple openings, including with the Tennessee Titans.

CAA's statement called the report "patently false" and "wildly inaccurate," claiming his sole focus is on the Longhorns program.

After Texas' comeback win over Mississippi State on Saturday, Sarkisian expressed his frustration with the report.

"It really pisses me off that one person can make a report that in turn, the entire media, sports world runs with as factual to the point that my agency and my agents have to put a statement out," Sarkisian told reporters, according to Matt Galatzan of Sports Illustrated.

"I had to do that to protect my locker room and my team. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous. I thought it was completely unprofessional of that person to put that report out."

Sarkisian has spent the last five seasons with the Longhorns, posting a 43-19 record. The 51-year-old guided the program to the College Football Playoff semifinals in each of the previous two campaigns.

Texas has produced four consensus All-Americans under Sarkisian's watch, including Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.

Sarkisian has no NFL head-coaching experience but has served as the Falcons' offensive coordinator and the then-Oakland Raiders' quarterbacks coach.

Texas improved to 6-2 after its victory over the Bulldogs.
