The long-awaited revival of EA Sports' college football series has officially received a release date.

EA Sports College Football 25 will be released on July 19. The video game publisher announced the franchise's revival in 2021; the last installment - NCAA Football 14 - arrived in 2013.

Both the standard and deluxe edition covers of the game feature Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter, and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards.

"They're going to remember all three of us, that we were the first guys on the cover to bring it back," Ewers said, according Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger.

The college football game sparked a loyal following and earned rave reviews in the 1990s and 2000s. It allowed gamers to play as their favorite FBS program and featured create-a-player and story modes.

However, student-athletes depicted didn't benefit from their name, image, and likeness, prompting antitrust lawsuits that led to the franchise's hiatus. Prior to 2021, college athletes weren't allowed to profit from NIL.

More than 10,000 players accepted EA Sports' offer of a minimum of $600 and a copy of the game in exchange for NIL rights.

The game's standard edition will cost $69.99, while the deluxe version will be $99.99. An MVP bundle that combines the game with the upcoming Madden NFL 25 release and bonus rewards carries a $149.99 price tag.
