Clemson lands 5-star ILB Sammy Brown

Clemson made a splash on Monday, landing the commitment from 2024 five-star inside linebacker Sammy Brown.

Brown is the top-ranked player at his position and the 17th-best overall recruit of his class in the ESPN 300. The Georgia native picked Clemson over Georgia and Tennessee, among others.

"There wasn't really anything specific that made me commit to Clemson, no specific event," Brown told On3's Hayes Fawcett. "I prayed about it in the week leading up to the visit and after Saturday I just felt like that door had been opened for me to commit. I think it was God's will for me to go to Clemson. Everything just kind of clicked I guess."

Brown is the highest-ranked recruit to join Clemson's 2024 class so far. The Tigers have also landed five other prospects in the ESPN 300, including four-star tight end Christian Bentancur.
