Eric Musselman is leaving Arkansas to become head coach of USC's men's basketball team, Trojans director of athletics Jennifer Cohen announced Thursday.

Musselman will replace Andy Enfield, who is making the jump to SMU following 11 years in charge of USC.

Musselman spent the last five seasons with the Razorbacks, guiding the program to its best results since the Nolan Richardson era.

Arkansas made three NCAA Tournament appearances under Musselman, including back-to-back Elite Eight showings. The 59-year-old went 111-59 during his tenure in Fayetteville.

Musselman also enjoyed success at his previous head coaching stop, leading Nevada to the Big Dance three times and winning Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year honors.

"We were determined to find the best coach to champion the development of our student-athletes and elevate our men's basketball program," Cohen said in a statement. "His track record of building winning programs and his unwavering commitment to a culture of excellence make him the perfect fit for USC."

Before returning to the college level, Musselman coached in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. He had a combined 108-138 record in three seasons as the lead man.

USC finished a disappointing 15-18 this season, with No. 1 recruit Isaiah Collier and star guard Boogie Ellis battling injuries throughout the year.
