Canisius defeats St. Bonaventure 70-67

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP) — Tre Dinkins' 16 points helped Canisius defeat St. Bonaventure 70-67 on Saturday night.

Dinkins shot 6 for 11, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc for the Golden Griffins (1-1). Siem Uijtendaal added 13 points while going 5 of 10 from the floor, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and 1 for 3 from the line, and he also had five rebounds and three steals. Frank Mitchell had 11 points and shot 5 of 6 from the field.

The Bonnies (1-1) were led by Charles Pride, who posted 16 points, nine rebounds and two steals. Chad Venning added 14 points and four blocks for St. Bonaventure. Mika Adams-Woods also put up 13 points, four assists and two steals.

Canisius plays Cleveland State on the road on Wednesday. St. Bonaventure squares off against Oklahoma State on Thursday.
