The Miami Heat will officially waive guard Terry Rozier on Friday, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The NBA placed Rozier on leave in October after he was arrested on federal charges related to an illegal gambling scheme. He's pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges of wire fraud and money laundering.

Rozier was in the final year of his contract with the Heat, who acquired him in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets in January 2024. He hasn't played this season. The play-in-bound Heat will be able to sign a player to fill his roster spot.

The 32-year-old appeared in 95 games for Miami, averaging 12.5 points and 3.3 assists.
