Veteran forward Khris Middleton will remain with the Dallas Mavericks for the rest of the campaign after considering a late-season move via a buyout, sources told NBA insider Marc Stein.
The Denver Nuggets were among the teams interested in acquiring the three-time All-Star, Stein adds.
Middleton was traded by the Washington Wizards to the Mavericks in February as part of the three-team deal involving Anthony Davis. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old former NBA champion is averaging 13.9 points on 48.5% shooting in seven games for the Mavericks.
The deadline for a player to be playoff-eligible for a new team after a buyout is Sunday.
